During the 4/21/24 Sunday Celebration, Bill Mettler, one of our community stewards of climate change legislation, shared a valuable resource with us regarding energy rebates that are available through the “Inflation Reduction Act”. Bill crafted a well-written letter below that can be sent to Governor Josh Shapiro’s office through a text message at 717- 788-8990. Dear Governor Shapiro:
Congress created and passed into law the historic, “Inflation Reduction Act.” Low & Middle income PA families will get REBATES on new electric appliances & services, making their homes safe, clean, comfortable, and efficient.
Most PA voters may not know about this yet because the REBATES are still being organized at the PA DEP Energy Office to be released by the end of 2024.
I’m urging you as our Governor, to offer the PA DEP Energy Office the resources needed to get the job done BEFORE November.
The available REBATES would be well appreciated by Pennsylvanians all across the state.
