The Passing of Tom Heitzenraiter

Hello everyone. Sad news this morning about Sunday evening’s passing of a genuine friend of Pebble Hill, Tom Heitzenraiter. Probably 70 years old or near and such a great, very creative, humorous, and politically alive personality. He and Cynthia Greb were partners for 9 years and married for much of that time. He has a son, Alex, who was just married recently and probably 40 by now. Such a great and creative kid himself. Though not a member or active at PHC, Tom spent many summers at Pebble Hill camp and as MC and host of many evening talent shows, he and Rick Steinberger and others entertained us with lots of rough and ready humor and took us on lots of side adventures. He hosted a TV show at one point, “Nothing Really”, and did his share of bringing joy into lots of homes during that wonderful adventure. Others, who knew him much better than I did, could and may write beautiful memories of Tom’s friendships at Pebble, but I must say, he was always a joy and a complete inspiration to us all. Laugh a little when you think of him. And Smile that he is free of this dimension and bringing such wonder to the next. Long Live Tom.
