The pandemic is ramping up again, with hundreds of airline cancelations for want of pilots and even pro sports games canceled or postponed because of Covid outbreaks. Pebble’s flock is particularly vulnerable because of age and numerous health issues.
The celebration team, with the approval of council, has decided that shutting down live celebrations and going to Zoom is the most reasonable response to this risky situation.
We hope that this wave of infections will pass in two or three months; we will closely monitor the situation in order to reopen as soon as possible. Meantime, please join us on Zoom every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. It’s very simple. Alan Dench will be sending links with the Pebble email announcements and there will be easy-to-follow instructions for joining us online.
So, this Sunday, Jan. 2, we will be saying goodbye to the Red Barn for a little while. We’d love to have you at our side as we conclude with the burning of the greens and “Auld Lang Syne”.
