On the evening of the Feast of St. Francis, which falls on Friday Oct. 4, we will present a one-hour celebration/vigil in appreciation for the beloved dogs, cats and other members of the Animal Kingdom who hold a cherished place in our lives. Rev. Rosalind Cauffman will lead, and there will be a blessing of the pets.
You are invited to bring pets or photos and other mementoes of the little creatures who have enriched your life.
Starting time for the one-hour event will probably be either 6 or 7 p.m.
In case anyone doesn’t know, St. Francis, who lived in the twelfth century, is the patron sait of animals and the environment.
