REMEMBERING THE THINGS THAT MATTER

Wow, Sunday at Pebble was a GREAT DAY!

Rev. Dave Perkins led a celebration featuring our beloved Hon. Clyde Waite, a Pebble member and friend from decades past.

So many old-time Pebble members came back that it was virtually standing room only, and more than thirty others tuned in on Zoom.

Thank you, everyone, for this expression of your commitment to our own Beloved Community.

If any of you folks who were back for the first time in years felt a rekindled love for Pebble Hill, please come on back.  Our arms and hearts are open.

Big thanks to Barbara Atkinson who thought to reach out to Judge Waite, and Dave for making that connection.  And thanks to Alan Dench and Mike Sturgeon for the Zoom support and Rafael for his piano accompaniment for some important songs of the civil rights era.  To Bill Mettler for organizing Peace Soup afterwards and everyone who brought food or drink and everyone who worked hard to clean up.

Let’s keep this momentum up next Sunday for another cherished Pebble friend JOHN WELSHONS.  He will speak on the anniversary of the death of Thich Nhat Hanh about LOVE.  The celebration is titled “The Arc of the Soul Bends Toward Love”.

With much love and appreciation to you all,

Rev. Rosalind
