This Sunday, our celebration will honor our fathers, welcome the summer solstice, and give insights on the significance of the day known as Juneteenth.

Rev. Rosalind will share the story of author and scholar Annette Gordon-Reed, expert on the legacy of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings.  Gordon-Reed was born in Texas in the 1950s and gives us a unique view of life as an African American Texan, both on June 19, 1865 and in the years since the news of emancipation reached the enslaved people of Texas.

Rev. Susan Manning will open celebration with a summer solstice ritual.

Rev. Nancy Hesch will once again share the letter from her beloved father, which moved us all in February.

What a rich and fulfilling celebration this will be!

Sunday at 10:30 am.
