Celebrating Diwali, the Indian Festival of Light

Rev. Susan Manning says, “Well, haven’t we been waiting to celebrate the Light for what seems like …well, a few years at least. Diwali begins the season of celebrating the Light. It’s the first Festival of Light of the year and 2020 is nothing if not a year in need of more light!! Let’s talk about how to stand in our light and let’s talk about Lakshmi and her ability to move, work and prevail in confusing darkness. This we can do. Bring to our Zoom Celebration a light (candle, battery operated candle or lamp, or your favorite plug in lamp).”

Celebration starts at 10:30 a.m.  We are continuing virtual celebrations but we are allowing people to enter the Celebration space to watch the presentation on their phones, tablets or laptops or possibly the big screen TV. Please wear masks, use hand sanitizer, and social distance. The windows will be opened and the ceiling exhaust fan will be turned on to draw in fresh air. We will limit the number inside to 25. Windows need to be closed after Celebration.

Please join Celebration from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
