Join us at The Grove for a double-feature community film screening!
The event will start off at 4:30pm with the screening of filmmaker Ava DuVernay’s acclaimed documentary ’13th’. The film explores the “intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration in the United States” and how systemic racism perpetuated following the ratification of the 13th Amendment.
After the documentary there will be a 30-45 minute facilitated discussion to reflect and converse key takeaways from the film. Post-discussion there will be a brief intermission to safely mingle
