We are so incredibly sad to inform everyone that we will not have camp this year. There are many reasons but the quote that keeps resonating with me is “We are staying apart now so that when we can gather again no one is missing.”

Poyntelle is not running their regular camp season this year so we would have been very short staffed. And our minimum would have been 50 full-week adults. Between those limitations and the need to follow CDC guidelines we felt that camp would not be the experience we all love so much. Having to wear a mask indoors and keep social distance would be challenging at best, more likely impossible.

Camp has always been about inclusivity and we can’t offer a safe environment to our high-risk loved ones. I don’t want anyone to have to make that choice when there are still so many unknowns.

So stay safe, Friends, and know that camp 2021 will be the best ever!

We love you,

The Camp Board
