A Journey To Happiness
October 14, 2018
Lead by Kalie Marino
“I have been blessed to have had many wonderful teachers in my life, but as Leo Buscaglia said “to know and not to do is not to know.” Learning and doing are very different. Growing up in a spiritual family gave me a great spiritual education, but my stressed out unsatisfied life proved I didn’t know how to apply what I learned. And so it wasn’t until recently that I embraced the hard work of living a meaningful life. This is my personal story of searching for happiness and learning to live a meaningful life. In this entertaining story I share how I discovered my Hero’s Journey, and how it has truly changed my life.”
David is the current president of Pebble Hill Church council and has a PhD from the prestigious School of Hard Knocks. As a life long student of spirituality, David grew up around a variety of spiritual and meta physical practices, from traditional Midwestern conservative Christianity to Indian Sikh’s, from A Course In Miracles to Stoic Philosophy.

High Holy Day
Renewal and Healing Celebration of the Jewish New Year on the New Moon
September 9, 2018
Lead by Gary Schoenberg & Deva Troy
This celebration will focus on the Jewish High Holy Day of Rosh Hashanah, a time we return to our own inner essence during the beginning of the 10-day period of t’shuvah. Singer/Songwriter/Interfaith Minister, Deva Troy and Gary Schoenberg will co-lead on this journey with community readings, chants, melodies, meditations, and prayers.
The High Holy Day/Renewal Celebration is the annual ritual where we begin the process of taking time for self-reflection to make inward acknowledgment of our shadow selves to bring into the light of compassion and healing and reconciliation with our true essence. Through realignment with source we feel the peace of true t’shuvah. We will dip apples in honey commemorating the sweetness that comes with the blessings that pour forth as a result of this healing and reconciliation with our own true essence and be inscribed for a healthy New Year beginning with the 1st new moon of the Jewish calendar.

Change is Your Friend
September 2, 2018
Lead by Rev. Kalie Marino
After the tragic loss of his Sister Dr. Anna Cabeca’s son, Garrett Viera Bivens, Robert was compelled to author a book about his nephew’s brief life. In conveying Garrett’s exuberant joyful spirit, the message was clear and distinct that healing and thriving in life with a new purpose is not just possible, but certain.
Change is scary, uncertain and we are suspicious we aren’t going to like it. Change is also inevitable: It will happen whether you want it or not. Just hoping for things to be better festers doubt, fear and indifference – thereby dis-empowering us. This interferes with our ability to feel the satisfaction, joy and success we want in our lives. Resistance to change is the result of remembering negative experiences that involved change. Remembering positive experiences and associating positive results of change makes change something to look forward to.
Robert Cabeca creates positive and wholistic change as a Business Transformation Specialist. Being a success coach of the highest standards is a result of not just being an entrepreneur at heart but being impassioned about the true quality of life in others. Having distilled decades of experience in many different fields of work, Robert has started on a broader journey of awareness and expansion through writing, teaching, and coaching. This is where he is presently finding the most fulfillment.
Robert is also a Chocolatier and published two Chocolate themed cookbooks, in addition to his most recent book, “Creating an Accelerated Life-Plan” showing you how to predict your future by creating the future you want.

Abundance vs Prosperity: Finding a Balance
July 29, 2018
Lead by Celebration Team
Jeanne Elodie Montclair is back speaking about abundance reflecting on how one person’s famine may be another person’s feast, and how when you have the experience of having very little in the financial area of one’s life, or other areas, one’s priorities get clarified – quickly.
Staying focused on appreciation and gratitude and staying the course, despite the kind of fears that kept her awake at night, have taught Jeanne that receiving help from friends graciously and with humility, and having a few good books to read in the middle of the night, is sometimes exactly what is needed.
With open heart, and a little bit of humor, Jeanne shares about recent health, financial and familial difficulties, the take-action lessons inherent in “Nowhere to go but up,” and standing up for one’s rights without engaging a “fight against” mentality. Jeanne finds everyday grace in friendship, creativity, the beauty inherent in this world, and the gift of being willing to live with an open heart.
Jeanne believes the best of Abundance and Prosperity is available to each of us – because sometimes it just takes changing one’s mindset to live as a free, creative, thriving soul in a wild world drunk on it’s own excesses and belief in lack.

Emily’s Recovery from Abuse, Drugs, and Limiting Beliefs
July 15, 2018
Lead by Rev. Kalie Marino
“If you only knew the life you get to have, you would be running out that door.” That is the voice that came to Emily Hollis as she laid in bed getting ready to do one of the hardest things in her life. After a very dysfunctional 10-year marriage, she was ready to forge a new path, not only for herself, but all the women she would help along the way that were stuck in abusive or dysfunctional relationships. After returning from a meditation workshop and experiencing a profound shift and connection, she walked out the door that day and never looked back.
In a very short amount of time she was able to free herself of a 10-year opiate addiction, without traditional rehab, quit smoking, met the love of her life, and most importantly, was able to let go of the very limiting beliefs she had always held on to. She always believed she was much more than just her body and after a profound spiritual awakening, she knew it to be true.
Emily, a student of Dr. Joe Dispenza and soon to be author, is now very passionate about sharing her story to show both women and men that it is possible to let go of their own limiting beliefs and live a life they never thought possible. Through telling her story, she shows people how to live beyond the self-imposed limits we all create in our lives and how to get in touch with their bigger self.

Being able to feel the flow as to the friction without judging has helped me through many challenges. Give Modern Father’s Their Due!
June 17, 2018
Lead by Gary Schoenberg
Father’s Day, a day that may bring back fond childhood memories; or possibly difficult memories that we wish to heal. This Celebration will include sharings from several men in the Pebble Hill Community about their relationships with their fathers including both the shadow and gold aspects of their fathers and how those relationships have impacted upon them being men today.
Some of the dynamics of these relationships have had their rewards and also their challenges including striving to be the kind of man or father who nurtures and supports others, whether raising children or not, a single parent, divorced, co-parenting, traditional/non-traditional relationships, etc. Clearly the range of possibilities has expanded as we explore new paradigms. What does it mean to be a father or a man today? What impact has our father or lack of fathering had upon us today? What does it mean to be good enough? How do we connect to the deeper part of us that yearns to be whole and healed of our childhood wounds and also yet connected to the golden child within and embraced in a safe and loving way? How does one stay in one’s power and yet be open, vulnerable, and generous in relationship with others and fulfill the tasks of the mythological “Hero’s Journey”?
The men who will share include Norm Danis, David Cook, and Gary Schoenberg who will lead the Celebration. Singer/Songwriter, Deva Troy will sing an original song she wrote about her own father. Rituals will be used to invoke a container by calling in the directions, drumming, and the use of sage to create sacred space along with meditations, guided imagery, songs and chants!
Bring pictures and any memorabilia that you wish to place on the alter about fathering in whatever way is meaningful to you.

An Immigrant’s Struggles and Transformation
April 29, 2018
Stay for the workshop at 1:30!
Lead by Rev. Kalie Marino
Rev. Kalie Marino, who lived among the Sikhs of India, leads the Celebration with a guest speaker from India, Harvinder Kaur. Many will remember Harvinder as the musician and speaker who accompanied S.S. Mahan Rishi Singh Khalsa D.C. when he spoke at our Feb. 25th Celebration.
Harvinder shares her struggles as an immigrant in America. Her family came to the U.S. in the early ’70’s. She is an Indian Sikh who struggled and faced many challenges. “What I was most confronted by was my identity. Who was I; where did I belong; why was I not ‘white;’ why was I so different; why couldn’t I just be ‘normal’? I would visit Amritsar, India every summer as a child. The Golden Temple was where I belonged, but I didn’t belong in India.”
Her love for chanting and mantras was a seed planted by her parents. It really flourished when she revisited her faith as an adult. She became interested in mantras through Kundalini Yoga.
Her story is a story of Transformation, which is the topic of her workshop in the afternoon.
Harvinder is a student of The Ancient Vedas and the Sacred Text of Gurbani. She has been a speaker and lecturer for over ten years. She is able to simplify and present knowledge with ease and clarity. She has a unique perspective regarding Life and Spirituality. However, knowledge without action is futile, so Harvinder is committed to creating change through conversation, dialogue and by sharing techniques that were given by the Sages of The East.
