I am humbled as your new Art Director, to bring you the beautiful pastels of artist Doug Tweddale. My first art show is breaking tradition, just a little bit, as the art reception is being held this coming Sunday even though the work has been up to view most of January, but we hope to make it worth the wait! The art reception will include food and beverage, a chance to meet and talk to Doug AND we will be raffling off a Fine Art Print of one of Doug’s pieces!
Doug is a Plein Air painter, meaning he creates his masterpieces outdoors in nature, on site. His pastels truly capture the light, atmosphere, energy and the magnificence of the great outdoors. Every year, he and his wife, Sue, take an extended tour out West in their RV to explore and create among our National and State Parks. You will delighted to see landscapes from grand National Parks such as Yellowstone and Zion. You might enjoy recognizing local scenes from places such as Long Beach Island, Fort Washington and Green Lane State Parks.
