On Sunday, our community will consider our country’s long struggle to truly enfranchise all of its citizens.
This, as a reminder of the importance of your vote.
As Bill Mettler
recently taught us, “WHO you vote for is private, but WHETHER you vote is public record.”
Mr. Mettler himself will share an illustrative fable.
Larry Hall
will sketch out a bit of history.
And Rosalind
will offer some lessons from the life of the Buddha which apply just as surely to ourselves in this time and this place.
We’ll “lift every voice and sing” and remember “this land is your land”.
Join us as we begin at 10:30am, in person or on Zoom. Rev. Rosalind will lead.
ALSO, ON NOV. 13 we will do part 2 of the sharings from The Book of Awakening. Folks who already shared and borrowed a copy, please bring it on back to pass along. Give Dave Perkins a heads up if you’d like to share a selection on Nov. 13.
Masks are advised due to a recent rise in covid cases at Pebble.
Pebble Celebrations are moderated by the Celebration leader. Participants are asked to remain muted during the flow of the program except for during the time for discussion and reflection, and until called upon by the leader. We reserve the right to remove you from the meeting for disruptive or disrespectful behavior.
