Announcing G.R.O.W. – Grief Relief, One World

In this time of extraordinary loss and chaos, Rev. Melissa Mantha invited a group of fellow Interfaith Ministers to join with her to create “G.R.O.W. – Grief Relief, One World” in the hope of providing some solace. People are experiencing grief on many levels: the loss of a loved one, loss of livelihood whether income or job, loss of human contact and social outlets, and loss of the celebration of life’s milestones. The list goes on and the pain continues without much relief.

G.R.O.W. is a non-denominational and interfaith ritual containing several activities to help you, your family and friends come together, ease grief, and process the loss of a loved one. You can use the complete ceremony or partake of the sections that serve you best. We suggest having a picture or something to remind you of your loved one if using this ritual for a specific individual. Also, having a percussion instrument and journal would also be helpful, but not required.

All of these participating Interfaith Ministers were ordained through the School of Sacred Ministries located at Pebble Hill Interfaith Church, Doylestown, PA. The School is one of the country’s most comprehensive Interfaith programs for religious studies, professional development and spiritual transformation since 1999. All ordained graduates studied the world’s major religious, spiritual and wisdom traditions, as well as the power of rituals and the beauty of celebration. Pebble Hill Church is an Interfaith Community that offers Sunday Celebrations, Spiritual Offerings, Pebble Hill Camp, Art Gallery, and Outreach.

As an Interfaith Minister, Rev. Susan Manning is devoted to celebrating diversity and working to create a more egalitarian world. Her work combines interfaith, inter spiritual and transpersonal psychology work to honor each and every individual’s path. This includes belief systems, religion, culture, mental/emotional work and traditions. Honoring every person’s path as the correct way for them, Rev. Manning walks in power with an individual as opposed to power over another. Her path of becoming an Interfaith Minister purposefully was a natural choice honoring all her life experiences. She officiates wedding ceremonies, baby blessings, memorials and other events along with working in Spiritual and Transpersonal Counseling. Rev. Susan Manning was ordained in December 2000 after a two-year Interfaith program at the School of Sacred Ministries. Her work and life experience are highly professional.
