After our Christmas Eve celebration, we will have a “giving blanket,” so please bring something nice but not expensive that you already have. We will place our gifts on a blanket, then people will be allowed to take whatever gift they want from the blanket. The ritual will be conducted in a prayerful, intentional way which acknowledges that the act of giving is more important than the value of the gift. One year, I took two strawberry plants from a giving blanket and had wonderful strawberries for the next several years!
