Guidelines for use of the Pebble Hill Community Organic Garden are as follows:

Neighborliness:

1.         An enjoyable experience is our goal; please respect fellow gardeners.

2.         Avoid planting spreading plants near adjacent plots or walkways.  It’s the gardener’s responsibility to weed areas between individual gardens.

3.         Pebble Hill provides community water hoses for free use.  Please be considerate & do not hook up personal sprinklers & leave the garden.

4.         Gardeners must provide their own tools.

5.         Pets are not permitted in the garden area.

6.        Everyone who enters the garden is to be shown where the walking paths are.

Organic Gardening:

7.         This is an Organic Garden with alternative methods to pesticides and fertilizers.

8.         This year we have wood chips available to the gardeners.

9.         We follow Ruth Stout’s method of gardening, contact a committee member for information:

We assign annual plots in the spring with the following priorities: 1/Continuing gardeners requesting the same plot.  2/Continuing gardeners requesting a different plot.  3/New gardeners.  4/Requests for a second annual plot.  5/Late applicants.

10. Plots that appear to be un-worked or abandoned will be reclaimed without refund.

11. Please use the buddy system if you will be unable to tend your plot.

12. Weeds must be controlled.  Gardeners with weedy plots will be sent a notification email.  If the problem is not corrected, you could lose your plot.

13. Garden planting ought to be underway by June 1.

14. All plots are to be cleaned up by the end of the fall harvest.

By acceptance of this agreement, the gardener expressly releases Pebble Hill Church and the Garden Committee from any and all liability for damage, injury or loss to any person or goods, which may arise while working in this year's garden, and agrees to hold the Church and the Committee harmless of any loss or damage by reason thereof.

I, the undersigned, agree to properly care for the plot(s) assigned to me and to adhere to the Pebble Hill Community Organic Garden Guidelines. I willingly use organic gardening methods as stated in the guidelines. I will clear my plot(s) of tomato cages, poles, etc. at season’s end.  I understand that charges may be assessed if the garden committee must clean my plot. If I find that I cannot successfully accomplish this, I will notify the Garden Committee before June 1 so my assigned plot can be reassigned to another gardener.  I agree to abide by the guidelines of the Community Garden.
