SUZAN MINOR BARTELS ‘SMOKE & MIRRORS PHOTOGRAPHY’ June 1 - 29, 2008     Roscoe Invents the Wheel   Gallery ‘Opening’ Festivities (including Open Mic) Friday, June 20th, 7:30 – 10 pm   Probably much better known locally for her cabarets and jazz vocals, Suzan Bartels is also an enthusiastic and prolific photographic artist; very passionate about sharing life’s rich textures and reflections, and conveying them through both her music and her photographs.   This is Suzan’s third gallery show.  The pieces in this show include scenes from surrounding Bucks and Hunterdon counties, Philadelphia and Cape Cod, and display a real appreciation of texture, light and shadow, and of the little every day things in life so often passed over or taken for granted.     Beauty     Suzan has a special interest in shooting in natural light.  Nature with all its textures and reflected images, and still life and informal portraiture are favorite subjects.    Suzan can be reached by telephone at (215)766-9256, or by E-mail here, for photographic and/or musical engagements!
